Anyone from Wyoming, where do you get your powder? Closest I've found is Miles City, MT and Evanston, WY. Neither are close for me. I live West of Cody.

Well, up here near the state line, there's no local source. I order online from Powder Inc. Goex ends up being around $9.50 a pound including shipping and haz-mat when ordered in a 25 pound case. I just go in with a couple friends and it helps keep the outlay to a minimum.

I would find the website for Wyoming state muzzleloaders ass. I used to be a member of a Club in Casper. I know Laramie has a club. I've shot at the rondy in Riverton. Any one of the groups probably keep a powder magazine. I live down here in Colorado now. There are a bunch of places down here to get powder.

Regards
Wounded Knee

I order it from Powder Inc.. It used to be pretty easy to pick up powder around the state but with all the regulations only a few places carry it now.

I orded 25 lbs of KIK for less than $10 a lb.. As Noah said, go in with some friends so it doesn't hurt so bad.

One Eye: The Sheridan club has a club shoot on the last Sunday of the month at the rifle range in town. I will drive up for that one once in a while.

Riverton has a shoot and rendezvous over the Memorial day weekend. There is also a rendezvous there later in the year. Glenrock generally has a rendezvous/shoot during the summer and a Winter Challenge during January or February. We here in the Big Horn Basin have a two day primative shoot and will have our 25 year anniversary free shoot this summer.

The State Convention is in Casper, Jan 13-15. The powder guy from Evanston is there, so call and he will bring what you need. If you haven't been to the convention it is a good time!!

Othern

Mike 2005, what part of the state are you in?

Thanks for the info everybody.

I bought a place in Worland after being out of state for 14 years. I used to live in Gillette back in the eighties and used to hit the shoots in WY and western SD pretty heavily during that time. I know a lot of people from that time including Othern.

For your local area, get ahold of Ed Green. He should be able to get you whatever information you need for the Bullshooters local club.

Found some today in Billings, MT. Only an hour and a half away, +/-.

Thanks again

Where did you find black powder in Billings? I think I would like to pick up a few pounds...thanks!

NORD, did ya give him a call? That was the only place in Billings I could find. He's even got a few muzzleloaders to look at.
