Goex is a subsidiary of Hodgdon. A Hodgdon powder rep was at last years KMA convention giving away ball caps / stickers and promotional stuff.

I have some Old Eynsford but have not tried it yet. I do want to try some 3f Swiss in my small bore rifles.

Old Eynsford IS a GOEX product. So it's like buying gasoline- regular or premium.

Just so you know, Graf's branded powder is now made by Goex. (Prior to that the green labeled bottles "Graf's" and Graf's "Schuetzen" were made by Wano).

Elephant powder was fairly good in performance, but it was notoriously dirty with a lot of fouling. Be prepared for the need to clean often.

I have shot and used Elephant FFFg quite a bit, and do not find it any more fouling than Goex FFFg. no more cleaning up to 20 shots no issues.

I've also burned a lot of Elephant in the past and had no complaints. Accuracy and cleanup were about the same as Goex.

Kansas Kid, I have a little bit of Swiss 3F and used it at the range a few months ago. My .32 definitely likes it and may be better in this rifle than Goex. It'll take some more shooting to find out. More shooting? Yeah, I know, it's a tough job but someone has to do it.

Still early in the testing for me but initial results look like I can use 45 grains 3f Swiss to yield the same results I get with 65 grains 3f Goex in my .45 flintlock. That would actually save me a few pennies per pound if I switch to Swiss. I could sure tell the difference when I first loaded with 65 grains of Swiss. It was definitely a stouter load than same load of Goex.
