Mine is out in my shed, but sealed in an ammo can. Probably make a pretty big bang if it goes off, but a blown up shed is better than blown up house. My Pyrodex and 777 are also out there. I think the law says must ship in wooden crate which would keep the pressure low if there is a problem.

Wooden box in my saddle shed. No heat just cold storage. No problem.

A good sealed bag with dessicant is a good idea too, that the reason I use the ammo can, it seals up tight.

I store mine in the chicken house, dry, no heat or sparks It makes the chickens a little nervous but then they always were chickens.

It doesn't matter how any of us store it, what matters is seeing if your state or local municipality has any requirements or guidelines. Failure to follow them can result in civil or criminal liabilities in the event of a mishap, and problems with your insurance.

NY, for example, allows a maximum of 5 lbs and requires it be in original containers or powder horns, and those in a wood box with 1/2" thick walls, painted red, marked "Low Ex" in white or yellow letters 4" high. Said box must be located in a basement or ground floor, no less than 10' from an exterior entry.

Me, too. I moved to Maine a year and a half ago. Constitutional carry, bought an unmentionable handgun at a show with just a background check, have even done a parking lot trade. MUCH different up here!

I found a half-full can of Goex FFF in my shed here in humid Louisiana. To my surprise, it shot great, no delay at all. I know it had been there 15 years at least.

I worry more about the gas in the car in the attached garage, and lawn mower, and fuel for the lawnmower and the fuel for the chain saw and the grill gas and the acetylene and oxygen tanks and the Mapp gas and smokeless powder.

After all of them finish burning I will start worrying about the BP.
