The horned toad says we should go to Mexico.
New listing. Beautiful new horn. 15" along the outside curve, 7 1/2" circumference at the large end. The base is American walnut, seated in beeswax, held in place with antiqued brass tacks. Finished with 4 coats of Permalyn gunstock finish. 003 (1024x768).jpg004 (1024x768).jpg005 (1024x768).jpg006 (1024x768).jpg008 (1024x768).jpg007 (1024x768).jpg
The lower end is turned antler and held in place with screw threads. A single turned cow horn band separates the black from the white and is pinned.
This horn should hold enough powder for a days hunt. If you need larger I have those as well. You know you needed a new horn so I'm offering it here first, for our members, before it goes out for auction on "that other site".
$99.99 SHIPPED! USA. PayPal, check, M.O.
Any guns, powder cans, straps etc. are not included. They are in the pictures only to help you vision how good this horn will look in your collection.

That’s pretty sweet. You should have some scrim on that horn and stain it. would be tops. What is this other this other site you speak of Not sure thanks. Rick. In Missouri

Beautiful work! Do you cut those threads with a commercially available tap & die or a in house tool?
