Block Tea

I bought a Whole block of tea and cut off one square. We have been grating it with a nutmeg grater for a cup of tea. That stuff is hard as a rock BTW and that route is alot of work. I read somewhere that a square is used to make a pot of tea. How big a pot? Just throw the square in the water and boil it? How long?

"...The rule of thumb is one level teaspoonful for each 6 oz of water. If the leaf is large or bulky, use more. Experiment for yourself. If you use too much tea it will seem over done."
