I guess holding that one at the Lewis & Clark exhibit did me in. Sunday, I ordered a Blue Ridge Flinter in .45 caliber. The gun was on sale and I had a coupon for $30 and $14 in points, so I ended up with the rifle and mould for $503. I know there will be things to do to it, so in the end it'll be mine.

In years past, I started out with a CVA Kentucky, had a couple of TC's, two of Centermark's smoothbores, a CVA Mountain Rifle, a Navy Arms shotgun, which I used to drown a snake, and a Jack Garner Lancaster. Then I ran into Cowboy Shooting, now it's losing it's roots, so here I am back to muzzleloading, and enjoying it.

just got my 45 blue ridge flinter today. Would of shot it but the bullets wont be here till tommorrow. Going to get it lined up and squirrel hunt with it. May use it for muzzloader deer season.Well worth 499.00 going to build a kit this winter but had to have a flintlock now!

That's not a bad price at all. Nice buy. I'm going squirrel hunting with my .36 Blue Ridge this Sunday. Let us know how you fare with it in the future.

I am curious, what was a Blue Ridge rifle doing at L&C exhibit?

Who knows, it was near the .58 caliber Harper's Ferry.

The rifle arrived today, the UPS driver looked concerned with the welcome. Unpacking it, I was amazed that nothing was damaged. The outer box showed no damage, but whoever packed the rifle box, buckled it twice. The styrafoam was completely demolished, broken into pieces. Luckily, the rifle survived intact, in fact it was one of the better looking one I had seen. The wood looked great. The horns will have to come off the rear sight nd I need to run some balls. Great to be 25 again.
