Greetings All,
I'm gearing up to build a pair of Blunderbusses; one in Walnut and one in Maple. While I am a semi competent builder of firearms, black powder is new to me. Advice on finishing the stocks would be appreciated, as these are upgraded wood blanks, that cost a few dollars extra. We should have a bit of curls in the wood. I would like to develop a nice period authentic finish if possible. I have a bit of time, as the kits are ordered (from Sitting Fox), but we are waiting on the barrels. I also need to figure out the accessories, like patches, balls, powder& horns, etc.. . If there is a good thread or particular forum area, feel free to point it out to me.
