I know. I don't want them in my area. They are destructive to say the least. Careful what you wish for.
Still, I wish they were closer to me. I could live on pork. Had my smoker welded up in Texas and trucked up here. All 450 lbs. of it. Shame to use it primarily for salmon,turkey and store bought pork.

wild hog is my favorite, a strong second is Elk whitetail deer in my opinion isn't even close to wild hog. maybe my taste buds are off

The state of Kansas spent a pile of money about 15 years ago to eliminate wild hogs. At the same time the State made it illegal to hunt them to discourage someone from turning hogs loose or importing wild hogs. They are quite destructive of crops and other wildlife.
