Hey every one. I just sent a pedersoli frontier .32 cal. bbl. to Bob Hoyt to be opened up to .36. He said he will use radius rifling and I requested a 40 inch. twist for light round ball loads for squirrels. My question is for people that has used his barrels. How does his work compare with Green mnt., Colerain, or Rice barrels, as far as accuracy and smoothness of bore? Thank you for your response. Pioneer flinter.

Bobby's work is beyond excellent. I have had two barrels re-bored by him and the accuracy of both is great, and a scope down the barrels indicate smooth and polished rifling.

Thank you guys for your response I feel better now 😊

I have 2 barrels( 1 a new barrel being made, and 1 a rebore) at his shop now to get his gain twist in 54 (what he shoots for elk) I will post reports when I get them back.

I prefer a good square cut with wide groove and narrow lands. I had him do a 36 to 38 cal and workmanship is fine but just couldn’t make it shoot very well. I just built a new TOTW house brand/ probably Colerain barrel for it. Now it has two barrels. The 36 shoots better for me but maybe I’m the odd guy.

His prices and turnaround time is very good and if I had another one with a bad bore I would send it to him.
