Thanks. I’ll order from your source next time. I’m so excited with the Hoyt accuracy on my 61. Best results I’ve ever had with with a muzzleloader.

How is your 100 yd accuracy
The best load in my Pedersoli 1861 is the .577" swaged Pritchett bullets from Dixie with 80 grns of Goex 3f, and TOTW mink oil for lube in the base of the bullets. My muskets' bore diameter is .5785". I get 2 1/2" groups off the bench with that at 100 yds.

That's great accuracy,. If i get close to that at 100 this Colt 61 will be my go to deer rifle. Thanks for input
My advice would be to experiment and see what works best. When I lived in VA, I belonged to the NSSA, and their lower velocity loads do work well. They worked well in my 1861, but I wanted to flatten out the trajectory, thats why I tend to load to the upper end.

Does anyone shoot the Lyman Stakebuster bullet? Can they be made to shoot in the slower twist barrels?
The Lyman "stakebuster" is a version of the Rapine "trashcan". Here's what they can do in a musket-

Those are 1in squares so there's 5 shots into 1in at 50yd. I think they'll shoot if you can.
