He has told me recently that he preferred to and wanted to work on ‘high end’ items … me thinks he has succeeded!

These 2 locks are engraved differently so they are different locks. I was not quoted a price on what he charges for the "Engraved" locks. Anybody know?
I do not use faceboob...

Ide say engraving is mostly hand pressure surface work . Chasing is more a tapped chiseled deeper cut ,while the deep stuff is the ultimate of sculptured chiseled & files work .Just my take on the matter I made no especial study & never had any lessons beyond looking at such work .Most inlaid work is carefull under cut edge & tiny teeth thrown up by a chiseled animal or whatever device you want so the softer medal is firmly gripped apon gentle hammering or in the case of the common makers name or mark A stamp that gives raised letters , crowns , Fler d lisles whatever in platina or gold , possibly silver even bright alluminium can work mostly little more than a thin gold leaf on to copper or such like below it . English & Continental work more common than on any Long rifle generally speaking . Some might raise objection of course but that's my view . I've seen gold inlaid Buffalos on Thompson Centers . no accounting for taste & the customer is allway's right . Rudyard

Yes!
He has certainly upped his game.
It sure feel well made and the sculpting is period correct.

That's a picture from last weekends CLA Show of my latest lock I got from Bolek about a month ago. It's fantastic! And I do think Bolek is moving into higher end locks because his current one is almost identical to mine. There was extreme interest in the three locks I have from Bolek that were on display at my Table at the CLA Show. I had the three locks from Bolek as well as the two pistols I have from Rafal Zoilko on display. Extreme interest from everyone that walked by my table!

Hi Joe! so you are @LT Joe ! This is William. I had brought Erhard's books to the show. I am glad you got one. They are all gone. Will most likely bring more at some point. It was nice meeting you at the show! I will let you know how my wheellock projects turn out.

Hi William! It was certainly nice to meet and talk with you at the Show. Thanks so much for letting me know about Erhard's book and I'm really glad I was able to buy one. Those wheellock pictures in the book are amazing! I start to drool whenever I look at them! LOL! Definitely keep me informed on your wheellock project. I got a nice cherry stock blank at the Show and ordered a barrel from Rice Barrels as well so I still hope to use one of my Bolek locks in a pistol/carbine build.

@LT Joe: Holy cow ... YOU had all of those? Can I be your neighbor, new friend, and play with them please?

We need more pictures!
Here are a few pictures of my three Bolek wheellock mechanisms that I had on display at the CLA Show. I'll also try and post some pictures of the two pistols from Rafal Zoilko.
