Hello, ya'll!
Am honored to be part of the forum! A little about meself: I'm an 18-year-old Homeschooled farm boy, and a blackpowder nut. I've been shooting muzzleloaders since I was knee-high to a toad, have won one measly shoot, and LOVE the boom and smoke. I'm not a great shot. I'm into CW reenacting in the CS artillery, and have done a few rendezvous as well. I'm attempting to build my first longrifle, which is going to be a small Lancaster, possibly a JP Beck style. I want to be part of the forums so's I can learn more, be in contact with folks with like interests, and trade with folks. Thanks a lot,

Jordan

Very glad to see another young person that finds pleasure in the old guns and the history thatt surrounds them. looking forward to your input and questions. Lots of good folks here to share your interest with. WELCOME!!!!

:hatsoff:

Good to see another from the next generation of ML folk come aboard, there is a lot to learn and few better places to learn it other than at the range, keep your nose to the wind and an ear to the common sense of things so's the chaff does not block the sweet smell of the facts as you go about your jourey, tere are quite a few here very deicated to helping folks get started on the right foot inb the sport, as well as giving longtimers another view of an issue at times, all can and do learn from time to time, once again, good to have you here.

Welcome to the MLF Jordan! There are lots of friendly knowlegable folks here in camp with a lifetime of experience to share. Sure would like to see some pic's of your build when shes done. Always like to admire others talents.

Welcome to the forum. I am from TN as well. You might want to get over to Lawrenceburg,TN for Davy Crockett days August 12-14. You could just go over on Sat and take it in. There will be several like minded folks there.

Welcome aboard, young fellow. We are honored to have you. Not only do we want you as a member of the forum, we need you. Without young folks coming aboard, this forum and the sport of muzzleloading would eventually fade away. :hatsoff:

Thanks everybody! Yeah, Davy Crockett Days has been kinda like an annual pilgrimage for my family, and I have participated in the shoot there. However, I'm going to miss it this year. I'm heading out to Missouri to participate in the Sesquicentennial Battle of Wilson's Creek civil war reenactment on that weekend.

Welcome, I'm a fellow newbie to the forum myself. Like you I started young, mostly due to Clint Eastwood and The outlaw Josey Wales. Love the smell of black powder.

Welcome capnball593,

Good to have new blood in the camp. You'll learn a lot and get to share your experiences with us all. We all benefit.
