I have a Remington New Model Army Revolver with 2 extra cyclinders. I know that shooting the pistol requires thorough cleaning due to the corrossive nature of the blackpowder. However, can you keep a loaded cylinder in a cleaned pistol without suffering corrossion problems...does the dry powder corrode the cylinder.

Thanks in advance for any and all reponses.

Your Golden,
Dry powder will not harm your cylinder.
It's always recomended to have freash loads but folks have kept guns loaded for a year or more with no harm done.
