Since some places I go have a lot of rules about fires, I bought me a little Braizer, such as would be unlikly to be carred by a single travaling man :shake: How ever it works for the time frame and gives me an easy one person fire. Just tried a fattata with it and it was perfect. Butter a frying pan, Beat a couple of eggs(may add some creammilk or a little white wine)pour it in to the pan and top with the stuff you like in an omlette. When the eggs start to set stick the frying pan under the braizer, watch till it starts to brown and serve

I knew what you meant...Tenn.

Sure do wish you had some pictures to go with that description....

One could easily fashion a Brazier of sorts using stones and some steel tent pegs when trekking...

P.S. Brazier is also spelled wrong......but who's counting..

"Brassiere (fa)tah-tahs". It's what's for dinner. Sorry Tenngun.

Spelling is SO important.

Ok, I thought it was fattatas and been saying it wrong for years  Braizer , well my spelling sucks, but I'm in good company. If ya all was in my camp you might correct me but I bet you would have trouble talking with full mouths :rotf:

By the by its just the little square braizer with the ears at the corners, so many traders carry. I got mine via crazy crow, but townsend and turkey foot carry them. Stands about 6 inchs to the bottom, about 7 inchs square. A small frying pan fits well on top., and I just slead iy under the fire box to broil the um...top of my eggs

K, sauted some choped onions, green pepper rehydrateddried shitake mushrooms and som dry smoked bacon from turkey foot traders that I had freshened. Removed that and wiped out the pan. Melted the butter and beat up the eggs. The braizer had flame on it when I was cooking the veggies. Now it was just glowing coals. Put the eggs on. Moved and rolled the eggs around so I had a good film on the sides of the pan. When the bottom was well set and the top still liquid I removed from the top and spooned in the veggies then covered with some thin slices of asiago cheese, poped it under the braizer, put another quart of water on to boil for coffee. 5 min or so the cheese was well melted and stating to brown. ploped it on to a plate. By the time I was done eating second quart of coffe was done. ' Food porn' ah you naughty boy. I would tell you about the black pepper and dried herbs but I'm afraid Claud might have to censor it.

YUM !

Frattas!! I just thought you couldn't spell pattaitas. You know like sweet pattaitas or patootie chips, or-- oh heck never mind.
