This is at least 30 years old. Was bought used. There is no manufacturers name anywhere on the barrel, just a few markings. Any idea who made this ML with an Italian barrel?

Looks like Palmetto arms. Their mark was a palm tree in a circle. This style of rifle was more commonly made by Investarms (capitol I in a square box). Newer ones of similar style are now made by Pedersoli.

I just looked closely, the appears to be some kind of crest, maybe a bull head in it, with a circle above that has a star in it. No palm tree. And no investarm logo either. One other symbol looks like the muzzle end of a double barrel shotgun

What looks like the muzzle end of a double barrel is the Investarms I in a rounded sides box. I have one of those Cabelas Hawkens.
