I do not have that book. Is it pretty good? In print?
I used "Indian Tomahawks and Frontiersmen Belt Axes" for a reference. It has one chapter dedicated to brass Hawks. Great book if you can find it. I understand it is already out of print.

No I do not have it, I see it comes with the kits at re davis. I also was wondering how good it was.

Different book. I have the little book from R.E. Davis. It's very good but focuses on construction. I would suggest anyone putting hawks together get a copy. It is a lot like Dixon's book. Real simple basic info with hand drawings.
The book I refered to above is one of those $70 hardback reference books. By Hartzler and Knowles.
