I've heard these referred to as "Monkey Guns." Haven't shot it, got it in a trade last year as a project and didnt get around to doing much with it. Nipple removes easily and threads some good. Hammer needs bending to get it to align properly. Buttplate is missing, and some of the nickel (?) plating is coming off thw lock. Half cock doesn't work either. Interesting piece of twentieth century muzzleloading. 35.5" barrel, two piece stock. Attached with a bolt that threads into a lug beneath the breech, in a manner like a single barrel unmentionable. Rear barrel band is loose. It's a project, but could be a lot of fun!

These are still used heavily around the world for hunting in remote areas especially in countries were guns are highly restricted and hunting is necessary for daily life.

Monkey guns are their own field of study that is fascinating. Despite their often crude looks, these guns were meant to work and can last many, many decades if taken care of.

These are truly the last of the trade guns. Awesome pieces of history!!
