Enco (www.use-enco,com) has cored bronze rounds on sale. They say they are SAE 660 44,000 PSI, impact wear and corrosion resistant. Does anyone have a feel if these would be suitable for a blunderbuss, pistol, or small cannon barrel? Specifically I am looking at #510-1878 for a 12" 75 cal blunderbuss at $33.40.

I am not qualified to answer that question but if you go to the pre flintlock forum and search for handgonne you will see that many builders use that bronze. The ENCO is supplied in 13 inch pieces, the size of some handgonnes. Or go to the cannon forum. Search for bronze and you will see builders there that use the 660 "bearing" bronze. The hole is pre drilled for making bronze bearings, but is so convenient for barrels. And shipping is free over $50 with this code WEBNRFB6 when ordering over the web site.
