The Jefferson County Longrifles are having their annual winter rendezvous this weekend Feb.14 and 15. This is a nice shoot at the site of the first primitive eastern rendezvous. To small for that now but hope to see you there.

Howdy all. I live just north of Punxsutawney and work in Brookville PA. I have friends that attend the Longrifle Club shoots at the old rendezvous site. Though I don't personally participate, I can attest to it being a good time. Should I get a proper rifle built this summer, I hope to attend the events held on the old site in the future. Maybe B.Miller has a pic or two of the gathering he could post up. I'm looking forward to getting involved in the future,Marshal.

Marshal, last year there was probably about 8 inches of snow on the ground. I took a couple of pictures and those white canvas tents were almost invisible. Looked like snow piles with chimneys sticking out of them. Right now I don't know if I am going to make it. I just got home from a 200+ mile work trip and don't feel like getting my stuff together. If I don't there is a trail walk and meat shoot at the Forest Grove Sportsman's Club on Sunday.

I hear you Bruce. I'm going shooting with another feller Sat. Working the bugs out of an inline :redface:. Sunday we are celebrating my daughters 11th B-Day. I would love to go to the rendezvous, but not likely to make it. I hope to have a rifle ready to go for the summer gathering. I used to be a fair shot with a flinter years ago. I would like to give it a whirl.
