with it being a composite of parts what would it be worth ?
There are professional appraisers that could give you a much closer 'dollar value', as markets and values change.
However, as a family heirloom, dollar values dont matter much (unless you just wanna sell it.)
Consider this; Of Brown Bess muskets, many thousands and hundreds of thousands were built, each to a specific pattern and standard.
Of your musket, it probably stands alone. Unique and no other much the same as it.
That's worth a lot, to me at least.

Great point ! I will never sell it ….was just looking for an approximate value to decide if I should insure it ?

In my opinion, you have a surplus gun that was made from parted out spares or canabalized from older muskets. As Dave Person stated, probably for militia use or perhaps private use.

Absolutely not a french and Indian war gun.

French and Indian War muskets are very rare, especially in any form of complete condition.

Eaton,
The cartridge box could be contemporary to the musket. It looks to have been around a long time!
The horn also, maybe used for filling cartriges? It makes an interesting set!
No idea on the date for the water bottle, but others here will be better versed in these.
