Anyone interested in purchasing it? I have 0 use for it. Cool part of history and conversation piece for me. Not well versed in this type of firearm.

I'm sure it would sell quickly here. Just list it in the classifieds, and be sure to follow rule 23. Ask a fair price and it will go fast. EDIT: I see you already did!

I smell a rodent here: a guy claims to "inherit" a nice repo musket, and 'hints' he may sell for 200...then implies he might have a genuine one, too! This feels to me like a "prankster" dangling candy in front of a baby, knowing how much most of us would leap at such a deal. If I'm wrong, so be it.
He apparently went all ballistic after people pointed out the filled-in tack holes, even going so far as to claim it's antique, despite being clearly told it isn't.

I'm surprised he hasn't been kicked off, given the language he used.

It’s a younger guy who inherited the gun from family that passed away. He knows nothing about it or black powder either. He was just trying to sell it as it was and people picked it apart. And I don’t think he ever insisted it was antique. He didn’t know what he had or how to describe it and people crucified his listing. NUTS.

Fair enough.

Thank you so much for that. So it’s basically just a wall hanger isn’t worth anything maybe a couple hundred? Also, can you check out my other post I have another old one that I think is legit I just don’t know what it is or how much it’s worth.

No this a real gun.

Not an Indian made wall junker

Is this the same musket that the seller told everyone to “F- off” in a recently deleted post?
Yes. I have his rant via an email notification for that thread. I screenshot it for posterity.

Yes it is.
First the guy says he doesn’t know anything about the gun, everything’s still cool. Initial reactions are Pedersoli, (offered by Loyalist Dave), stamping on gun says made in Italy, Black Powder Only. Some one stated may be worth 900.00 + or -. Then members began to “teach or instruct” him about the gun’s faults, barrel cut down, filled tack holes wrong markings, trying to let him down gently that while it truly has value, these faults/problems will indeed place this at a much lower price. I really don’t think most members were insulting or confrontational but he became highly agitated and insulted telling everyone we don’t know an antique when we see one and to (fill in the blank)____ off.
Too bad, the whole thing unraveled. Written word can be misinterpreted.
Not so in his final deleted post.
