I also subscribed for a year, just to check it out. I hope, however, the emphasis is not too slanted toward smoothies at the expense of us rifle shooters. After all, if God had meant for us to shoot smoothbores he wouldn't have invented rifling. ::

No, we aren't slanted completely towards smoothies, it's just that I felt that they have been neglected. We will try to include rifle shooters as much as possible...he he he...

But, why would anyone want all of those deep gouges in an otherwise perfectly straight barrel???

Just kidding, of course...let me know what you think when you get your copy; I'm always open to suggestions. In fact, we have a section for letters to the editor just for that.

Thanks again!

Just another quick note:

I, too, on occasion, shoot a rifle. My lovely wife, Swan, bought me a .79 caliber Hawken a few years ago. It's the prettiest piece of curly maple you'd wanna see, and it will punch through all three side of a steel bathtub without even slowing down. I'm hoping to go on a buffalo hunt with it later this year....don't think that it would be appropriate to shoot a white-tail with it.

It has also been barred from pretty much every woods-walk in the country, just by the Booshway looking at it...

I also gave this gentleman a call on Friday...had a nice chat about matchlocks. I ordered my first year's subscription, I don't think the price is too bad. I've wasted a lot more money on a lot less substance.
I hope it works out and he makes a good go of it, we need all of the muzzleloading mags we can get.

I recently sent in my subscription for the Buckskinner Magazine. After some time of not receiving it I E-mailed the subscription Department to inquire when I would receive my copy. I received a reply in a few hours, and the magazine in two days. The copy sent to me was destroyed in transit and I only received the cover. Upon E-mailing the editor I received a reply in a few hours, an appology, and was assured that a new copy was on the way. I would like to thank them on this forum for the way they do business and am looking forward to reading your macazine.

Not $1.29, but still cheap!
Cheap or not, I jus saw they are based right up the river frum me, so ante'd up. Now if I could jus git me that $1.29 back, everthin would be hunky dory. :m2c: X 64.5

No offense taken what so ever....if i had touchy feelings, i reckon i wouldn't have kept up with muzzle loading for the past 20 or so years!!!!

Thanks again for everyone's support and understanding...we are working today on getting more up ont he website, uncluding some of the actual pages.

Actually, the premier was October/November, December/January is next....it may seem goofy to overlap the New Year, BUT we wanted to offset the publication dates from the "other" bi-monthly magazines. We wanted to avoid being lost in the stack of magazines that most of us BP shooters get.

Good idea! It's not goofy, it's brilliant it gives you a jump on the new year over other magazines! :redthumb:

I like your way of thinking, StumblinBufller. Offsetting the bimonthly as you have was a great idea! :applause:
