We owe them at least that much, they have our link on their web links page...

Nice site...

I have been to the website and I'm interested in the magazine. I have yet to meet anyone who's gotton the first issue, is the magazine sold at bookstores? I always get a copy of any mag for review before subscribing.

My thoughts too...I recently bought a subscription to 'backwoodsman' magazine and canceled it aftetr I received my first copy...no knock on the magazine, just wasn't what I thought it would be or was interested in, etc.

I wonder if Buckskinner could make the first copy available online for potential subscribers to review...seems like it would be a good marketing approach

At first, from a message I sent a few months ago, I was not going to put out the money for this magazine. Have subscribed to all the ones mentioned and more since the early 1970s. After getting a special peak into the first issue....
:blah: :blah: :blah:

I sent in the money to subscribe. It reminded me of the old "Buckskinn Report" magazine of the early 70' and 80s. :says: :what:

It is worth the money to find out for the first year. This "rag" could develope into what we are looking for to take up the slack the other magazines leave out. So Try It...You'll like it....and if not...Mikie will always read it.

And that's the truth.... :imo:

I believe if you look around on the Buckskinner web site you'll see a link like this... "Click here to see some of the actual contents of our Premier Issue!"

I subscribed when the mag was first mentioned here on the Forum (Claude, I told 'em where I'd heard about it). Got my first copy, pronto. I liked it. Not all of it, but there's stuff in MuzzleBlasts that'll put me to sleep, and even some times, some of the stuff in Muzzleloader I read out of a need to read something about BP, anything...
In a way, it reminded me of the old "Fur,Fish and Game" magazine..ideas on how to make do, make it yourself, or do without...Hank

I have subscribed for two yrs. Just waiting on my first issue  Will let ya'll know when it arrives

IronMan

I paid for the first year as well. I even gave them a call and had a real nice chat with StumblinBufller some about his read but you know how things get of topic and into other BP shooting stuff., wouldn

I have not gotten the hard copy of the first issue yet but he did give me a link to the full issue.

Don't suppose you could pass that link along so as we all could have a free peek? :winking: <<<hint hint>>>

:shake: ok, ok...here you go, since the December issue is on the layout boards and on it's way to print and we are still waiting for back issues to get printed, you all have fun and read away. Below is the link to the October/November issue.

By the way, I am VERY sorry for any delays. Please note that the photos are better in print. :sorry:

ENJOY!!!

And by the way, I would like to thank everyone who is helping to make Buckskinner the great thing that we know it can and will be. Whether by subscribing, putting up our banner on a website, or simply telling a friend that you heard about us, you are all making this thing happen, and I really appreciate it.

Mitakuye Oyasin--you are all my family. Thanks.

I tried to open the link and i got a pop up window that said some files can contain viruses, what do you want to do with this file? I clicked open it, but all i got was a bunch of scrambled numbers and letters. It didn't take me to a link. Anyone else have this problem?

That's weird...I just tried it and it came right open. If you can't get it by direct click for some reason, go to the buckskinnermagazine.com website and clink on a button that says "For Advertisers". There is a link on that page that will allow you to view it.

By the way, before any paid subscribers panic, only the Premier issue will be online, and you will still get hardcopies as soon as the back issues are printed. December will be winging its way to you shortly!

that's really strange...i'm very sorry, though. I'm not sure how that happens; it shouldn't be a pop-up blocker, since they aren't pop-ups....grrr!!!

:sorry:

Sounds like acrobat reader isn't installed on your computer. It's a free program you can get from THIS web page The install and setup is simple & straightforward and you should be able to read the magazine just fine after.

ahhhh....yeah, not having Adobe probably WOULD put a damper on your viewing pleasure.....

:shake: can't believe I didn't think of that...

Anyway, everyone enjoy.
