Broken Arrow--

We ran out of the first issue--it's a problem, but a happy one...if'n you're going to have problems, I guess that's a good one!

We are trying VERY hard to get reprints at the same time that we are getting the December issue out. We had to switch printers--better deal, better turn-around--but it is taking a bit longer than I had hoped to get December out to you fine folks. they assure me "next week"...

This goes out to everyone who has been helping to get Buckskinner off the ground, by the way:

You guys have been great, and tremendously patient as we are getting this magazine off the ground. The beginning may be a little rocky, but it is going to be worth it in the end. I have put my whole life into this--litteraly. That includes some late nights, early mornings, and sometimes the two meld together--I worked 22 hours straight not too long ago on layout.

By no means is that a complaint--I love doing this...LOVE it. How many people get to say that they rendezvous for a living? What I mean is that I am giving you--all of you who have trusted me to get this done--every bit of myself.

December IS on the way. For all of you who requested the October issue, I haven't forgotten about you by any stretch of the imagination, and we will get it to you ASAP.

BUCKSKINNER is going to be great...heck, it already is. We have some great writers putting out informative stuff, and great readers sending in their input and letting us know how we're doing. Just hang in there a little longer, folks, I'm getting things done as fast as ever I can.
by the way, we will soon be adding a list of vendors to the website where people can pick up Buckskinner. If you have a local newstand or black powder shop that you frequent that might be interested, talk to them, and give me a shout.

Frankly, i got blindsided by the great response from everyone!

In the mean time, if anyone has any questions, my door is open and the phone is right on the side of my desk. In fact, I think that I have talked to the vast majority of the fine folks who subscribed through the Forum...that's probably the best part of my job.

Buckskinner is meant to be a free-flowing, family venture, and that includes you, my extended family. Call me, write me, no sweat. Mitakuye Oyasin...

Anyway, thanks for letting me prattle on. It's 8:00pm, and I need to get back to work...

thank you all,

Your Most Humble and Obedient Servant,
Chris "Stumblin Buffler" Kolleth,
Scribner, Buckskinner Magazine

Chris,
Thanks for the response. I hope it didn't sound like I was complaining...I wasn't. I was just asking because I'm running out of things that I haven't read 20 times before.
Thanks, dave

No no no, i didn't think that at all. Even if you had been, that's okay, too. When something isn't right, we should complain--we'd still be dunking dry nasty scones into East India Company tea if folks didn't pitch fit once in a while.

Actually, it was more timely than anything. I was getting ready to post up an explanation anyway. Everyone has been very understanding and I sure do appreciate that.

SOON SOON SOON!!!

And I know what you mean about needing reading material...I'm a junky in need of a fix, too. It's a big part of the reason that I come here.

Thanks again, folks.

:crackup:I thought I was the only one that had whined cuz I didn't get that first issue...and my pic is on the cover!! :yakyak: When he answers the phone the first thing I ask is "Where is my magazine?". I know it will be worth waiting for, I saw it in his office before it was printed and there is lots of good stuff in it. I hope it will last a long time and I plan to contribute to it from time to time as well. Probably will be used as a good example of things not to do as well as Stumbln and I fumble our way through more exciting adventures....well, exciting to us anyway! (we do have some fun!!) We are talking about a winter deer camp the week after Christmas... that should make for some excitment ...wife thinks I am absolutly nutz :youcrazy:
