Last year's hunt! 1,000 lbs. .50cal RB 80gr. 777 with a t/c hawken at 80yds.

Is that figure meant as the weight of that buffalo.....or an English monetary value?

Very nice. I killed mine almost two years ago. Where did you hit yours and how long did it take to die.

I shot mine using .54 great plains bullet and 80 grns of 2F at 55 yards. Hit it twice only a couple of inches apart in the lungs. One bullet cut the liver in half. Still took 20 mins to die.

Second shot was 10 mins after the first when the 2 year old bull kept looking at me without flinching from the first shot.

Sorry, made a typo. used a t/c maxi-ball. Buff went 25yds, stopped, looked and in 60 seconds dropped dead(bullet went through the heart and came out the other side, maxi-ball was unbelievable! 1,000lbs. total weight, approx. 400lbs of great meat.

Your going to love the meat. Best eating animal yet that I've shot. I even like it better than beef.

Way to go! Buffalo is some great eating and wonderful leather! Here is My daugters and mine from 2 years ago. Hunting them with traditional style rifles makes it even better!
