Buffalo Meat?

Do any of you folks have a source for buffalo meat? I live an North Carolina and would need an operation willing to ship it frozen as I haven't been able to find any local ranchers that raise it. Thanks.

You might search for White Feather Meats. They are in North Central Ohio but I think they ship frozen. Actualy I had a friend who always brought some of their buffalo steaks to Rendezvous and we could not tell the difference between them and beef steaks for flavor.They had less fat but tasted the same.I suppose it was because they were grass pasture and corn fed just like the beef in our area.The same is true for venison if it comes from younger bucks and does. And is dressed out quickly. The diet and processing has a lot to do with flavor.

Search buffalo meat-NC on the internet and you will find some close sources. I live in Asheville and there is a local association of Buffalo ranchers so I know it is available here.
