As far as Ron's Christmas stuff, this is built as a shop to work in, not a storage shed, so I don't have that problem. Dunno what I'd do with all my Christmas stuff...
 
with those notches it is kinda portable, easy roof system in a few pieces will make it one....
 
That's a neat idea, I would never have thought of building a "log cabin" using planks. Have you considered routing the mating edges of the planks and inserting splines? I would think that would seal better over a long period than weather striping but of course would be a lot of work. The biggest problem I have seen with pressure treated lumber has been twisting and warping as it dries out outdoors, the splines might help control that.

I considered doing a Lincoln Logs cabin with landscape timbers at one time till I figured the cost.
