What about those of us who are "tool challenged" :idunno: ?
I've an H&A action and most of the parts to rebarrel and build a rifle but none of the talent required. Who does this kind of work today?

We put the action together. It was a kit from Deer Creek. They may still have some or may still have hammers, triggers, springs. John Taylor has made me actions to fit the hammer, spring, etc.

What makes a underhammer rifle so accurate??
I have heard over many years that they are the best.Do you spend more time making that shot count because it is a different type of rifle?

i think 'gmww' is right on the money,

and the fact? only two moving parts.
