These IABs have oversize bores known to work poorly with a standard size Sharps mold but shoots well with a .562 round ball. Any help in finding a Sharps type oversize mold would be great. Thank you...c

I'd slug the bore first and then adjust the mold dimensions to fit. The first two bands are the ones that should fit the throat to center the bullet and the last one is the driving band and should be .005 larger than your bore. You can also adjust the "heel" to take either Charlie's Tubes or leave as is to roll your own.

They look like this.

Second the slugging the bore. Then I had a custom postel mold made.
360-540gr, hollow base, and 2 wraps of NO.9 onion.
About $140 from a guy in Canada, and about a months wait.

I have an IAB 1859 model and I have had very good results with the Eras Gone .54 Richmond Sharps mold. Last time shooting I had one ragged 2-1/2 inch hole at 50 yards after about a dozen rounds. I have a bunch cast ready to make cartridges and if you will pay for shipping (USPS padded envelope and postage, probably six or seven dollars) I would be happy to send you a few to try out. You are welcome to reach me by pm if you’re interested.
