Some of the boys and I went bunny hunting this morning, all of us dressed in primitive gear carrying our flint smoothies, Stumbln had his new toy (but that is another story). It was a beautiful Michigan spring morning. We saw some bunnies but unfortunately nobody was able to roll one over. After a light lunch we decided to have an Easter Egg hunt. We scattered a bunch of chicken eggs on the ground out between 15 and 20 yards and were shooting rb at them with our smoothies. Was another great day with good friends, thanks guys for the companionship and fun.

Sounds like fun! Any excuse to get together with friends and make some smoke, is a good one!

thanks a bunch for making the trip up don. it's always a pleasure to have you guys around for the day. you are welcome at my fire anytime.

I'll second No Deer's comments on the day. Great Fun, Especially the Easter Egg "Hunt". I think that the Egg "Hunt" should become a yearly tradition.

Put them eggs up on golf tees, and the trick is to drop the egg without breaking it. Use hard boiled eggs and you can eat the survivors...taste great outdoors especially with Tabasco sauce on 'em.

A neat game we used to play was to set our tin cups right on the edge of a stream, in the sand. If you shot just under them right, they'd fly way up in the air on a geyser of water. If you missed and hit your cup...well then you ruined yer cup and lost the game! That was fun. One guy was watching us once and thought we were real bad shots because we were missing the cups every time.

I'd be reeeeeeeally careful there, SquireHank....I know the truth behind some of your "stories" too, you know....

Anyway, you can all read about in the June issue of Buckskinner....I went to great lengths to help my fellow shooters and hunters what to do if you should have an "incident" on the trail....

I vote yes on the Easter Egg Hunt at Fish Creek as an annual event...

Does sound like a great time indeed!

I've got three bunnies in the bag thus far and looks like that will be the last of the cottontail hunting until next season (no more time to go).

2-Rabbit's with my T/C 45 Hawken Perc, PRB & Wad.
1-Rabbit with a T/C Firestorm and a Great Plains Conical.

Got enough for rabbit stew. Cooked all three down into a soup and then tossed in veggies and potatoes and vacuume sealed until next fall. Made 4 large quarts.
