I'm looking for a Burnside tumbler and hammer to repair an original that must have had the hammer knocked off somewhere along the line. They don't have to be in great shape, since the outside of the original is extremely dirty and pitted all over. (The inside of the chamber and block are pretty well pristine - not sure what happened to the gun!)

I noticed that an 1854 Lorenz rifled musket has a hammer that's the same basic shape as the Burnside, so that might be a consideration, too.

Does anyone have any of those, or any other ideas to try?

You may have to get a tumbler made, and adapt a common hammer that would work until you can get the right parts. Oh, Gunderson antique guns has a parts section too, try him.
