This is one of four that I am making for myself, and 3 other friends.

I've polished it slightly, very slightly. And fitted a base plug made from wild olive wood.

Progress on a bushbuck baghorn.

I still need to figure out how to make the spout and the stopper.

I'm only now getting into period correct voortrekker dress. We have a "large" event on the 2&3 June 2007. Looking forward to that.

I do own 3 originals, with at least one that had certainly been in the Great Trek.

I am lucky to have them as friends, gladly do it for them. :thumbsup:

I like making stoppers like that, does not mess around with the form and lines of the horns.

The bushbuck is the smallest of the spiral horned antelope, smaller than whitetail.

There isn't much material to work with.

I am very much looking forward to our rondevoux this weekend. I will have the dubious honour of shooting a 6 pounder cannon on Saturday and Heinrich will give fire to it on Sunday. :)
