HERE IS WHAT I MEANT TO POST

I do most of my business with TOW, and have been watching their guns fervently. I was very keen on a rifle they had come up recently, but the weight was right at 10 pounds which I found too heavy for what I'd enjoy handling in the woods.

I finally pulled the trigger (haha) on a gun today. It is a bit higher than I'd planned to spend, but it was on special and in stock at TVM. I just happened to stumble onto it through a facebook post of theirs, and it's on its way to me tomorrow! I will probably commission a small caliber rifle later on, this can be my little deer gun. I don't know if you can imagine how excited I am right now, it feels like waiting for Christmas.

Here are a couple pictures from TVM's website. I'll get some proper photos taken with the DSLR when she gets here.
It has a "super premium" curly maple southern mountain style rifle, 42" .45 caliber 13/16ths, weighs right at 7 pounds, aged steel furniture, large siler lock.

Boy, at 7# and 45 cal, that's a keeper for sure. It will be a joy to carry and shoot.

Unless your local regs preclude it, reducing the charges will turn it into a dandy small game round, too. I do lots of small game hunting with reduced charges my 50's and up, plus I have a number of small cals. Gaping hole in my line at 45, but my untested notion is that it would be the ideal "combo" rifle for me. If yours had been a lefty, I'd have beaten you to it!

Thanks fellas, yes after I called and found out the specifics I had her put it on the scale for me. Right at 7 pounds. I was sold right there, plus I'm a sucker for high stripe percentage in dark stain.

I have essentially zero regulations on most small game in Oklahoma. I plan to bring hell to the holler with this ol girl.
