Sometimes yes, sometimes no. After Christmas flintlock season I wear what I have to keep warm. My camo. I need to get a capote. Squirrel and early muzzleloader season, in October I wear my period stuff most of the time. But i put fl. orange vest on and a nit hat on my wide brimmed hat.

I’ve hunted and killed in both. I outgrew my buckskins years ago and just never replaced. These days I use ‘technical outerwear’ and it’s very efficient. Merino wool base layers are a lifesaver.

Yep, too many idiots around here with the concept "If it's Brown it's Down".
I do not even want to drive through wooded areas here in PA during opening week of deer season. Too many drunks with rifles. Houses, cars, people, cows, horses nothing is safe. Our Game Commission employees should carry breathalyzers during opening week.

I used to hunt in southern area of Greene county. 40 years ago it wasn’t safe over there. Same goes for here in northern West Virginia. They ought to make kevlar in blaze orange!

Years back I had some time on my hands and decided to make a gillie suit, Been a long ime since I wore one (the area I hunt it is only my dad and I when he was alive ) so he calls ond day and said lets go squirrel hunting O.K. the hunt is on. It was a unmentionable hunt with 22 rifles. Along towards late evening I was sitting at the base of big oak tree and had four, so here he comes I watch him approach my spot so I sit still, He was about two feet from me and is looking all around finally he hollars out my name and I ask him if he is ready to go, damn near gave the old man a heart attack. CAMO WORKS WELL FOR TWO LEGGED CRITTERS AND FOR THE FOUR LEGGED ONES ALSO. Like I said this was years ago now of days best wear something orange to many wackos in the woods, even then your still vunerable so to speak.

This is the cap that I wear during hunting season. Buckskins and earth colored shirt and Mocs.
