we spent Thursday and friday out camping we just got back today

We did a dutch oven peach cobbler but instead of the usual pie crust, I used a different idea.

We took Pioneer Biscuit and Baking mix(very similar to Bisquick) and I cut in 1/2 cup of sugar and some vanilla and cinnamon and rolled it out to about 1/8 inch thick.

It made a wonderful crust in the dutch oven and our guest loved it.
I did brush it with butter after it was golden brown.

The highlight of all of our family campouts is the fire and the food!

:shake: Dang it Sparky, cut that out. Ya know I'm trying to loose weigh. I just gained two pounds just reading your dang post. Vern

the next one is going to be apple with a crumbly topping like apple crisp

I need one more (smaller) dutch oven to make it easy to do a meal and dessert at the same time.
