I just went to a small rondezvous called a Trace. I never took this T/C 45 cal before and wanted to try it out. Had it for 10 years, looks brandnew, but bought used. Well the darn thing has a slight bent barrel. Can they be straighten? or do I need to just go buy a new barrel????

:) There is no need to straighten the barrel . Send the barrel back to TC they have a life time warranty. And unless TC has changed they will send you a new barrel no questions asked,
But you may wish to contact them first I heard through the rumor mill that TC may stop making many of their "traditional muzzloaders" such as their Hawken. Hope this is not true?

my brother has a cheap rifle for about 30 years with a bent barrel and it shoots very accuratly,,,,what does a non strait barrel hurt other than looks?

I just got off the phone with T/C and they said "We will replace the barrel at no charge." WOW that is hard to believe. They said send the whole gun so we will make sure it fits perfect to your stock. WOW is that service or what????

T/C is second to none in product support. Remember this when people ask for recommendations for a starter gun.

I just hope that we never burn them out with it.

Well I got my gun back from T/C. They said the barrel was bent, very little bent and they put it back into this laser machine for new barrels and fixed it. Then they gave me a new ramrod, new front and back sights, a new trigger set, new stock keys, plus a new box and instructions. It didn't cost me any money. Not even a postal charge. All free. I could not believe they would fix a 15 year old pawn shop gun for nothing. WOW!!! Looks brandnew in the box

I called them up and told them THANKS good JOB

That warranty was the deciding factor in my deciding to get the used T/C when I did. I felt like it was a no-lose proposition. Your experience prove it. Thanks for the report.
