One is almost never out of luck provided he is creative. Use the tang bolt to secure whatever is needed as base to secure the sight. This is where you need to be creative making something simple that does the job. You also have the option to dill and tap the tang for more anchor points. Here is a picture of the top of my new Traditions 32 cal and I wanted to mount a peep sight but didn’t realize the tang on the Traditions rifle really has nothing to mount to. Am I just out of luck?
Grimord,
I want to put the low pro skinner sight on a Renegade . Not on the tang but on the breech plug. Where exactly did you put yours?
TH, I’m 73. You have exactly what I have on order. Can you strike a match at 350 yards now?
And glued a peep onto my New Englander with Acraglass Gel. View attachment 857
That’s one of the Williams WGRS sights. They make them with a bunch of different bases.Where did ya get that peep from?
Where did ya get that peep from?
They make one for the T/C Black Diamond, I would think that would be close.I found it at Gary Thiry Gun Parts in Sacramento. Gary had an extensive stock of WGRS sights, so I took the gun into his shop and we tried various bases until we found this one that matched the barrel diameter. This was perhaps 20 years ago and I don't remember which one it was, but I do recall it was for some gun other than the New Englander. Williams does have a product search function on their web which might help.
