Can you guess what type of rifling is on this wall gun? :D

Straight? Early piece the grooves was so the fouling could be pushed aside for more shots.

Just :m2c:

Predecessor to Marlin "Micro-Groove" rifling? Could it also be the forerunner of a type of artillery rifling? It doesn't look hammer forged or button rifled so it must be hand cut, yes?

I'm being faceitious.....I've seen it before in books and on other rifles but I've forgotten the name of it......an' I ain't gonna go look it up! Don't keep us in suspense Musky!

I believe it's called "star rifling". Bannerman's catalog used to illustrate several types of odd rifling; I think Ned Roberts' "Caplock Rifle" did the same.
