Really, since I'm long time retired, I enjoy reading all the posts that would have come up if this would have ran on. Of course we've seen all the messages I suppose there are but it's better than reading some of the stuff that's in the papers, sometimes sometimes somebody brings up something new.

Im the same way. I love oming in here and reading everything. They are some smart guys in here that will help a guy out.

I'm also a member of the "No ball club" with my Fowler.
Powder, wad, no ball then another wad.
It sure sounds funny when it goes off and no recoil.
It's better than a dry ball though

Ok guys I got it out first time it pushed the ball half way up the barrel I was able to funnel some more powder in the hole and reseat the ball and blow it out was a lot less horrible than i anticipated whole process took maybe 20-25 min

I said you should always start with a ball puller.

But it’s not Always that easy or simple.

Oh, I agree. I’ve had more problems with stick it broken off brushes. Or a jag stuck inin once

The Duck Creek Bunch once held a timed trail walk where one of the tasks required you to dryball from your pouch, then get it out using primitive means. Everybody offered helpful suggestions at your expense, along with comments about your personal habits and possible ancestry. Once you got the rifle cleared, you had to use said rifle to start a fire and burn a string, then on to the shooting stations.
