Can you see the Deer in this pic..

I can't! unless that little white spot in the center is her back end, I thought I had her in the view screen but she must have slipped away while I was taking the pic,it is hard to see much detail on the screen when in low light conditions. I had a shot at 25 yds but she had a very small fawn with her so I passed, they went on to cross dad's path and he gave them a free pass as well. Visability will be much better after a frost and the leaves drop from the brush under the canopy of Ash and Maple.

See the leaflets hanging straight down and looking out-of-place on the big tree on the far left? Come down two "leaf distances", then right 1 "leaf distance'. I think that's her. Nowhere near center of the picture.

I cheated though, I blew the picture up to 150%.

Yeah it is pretty thick in places around here, many areas are considered temperate rain forests, but it gets a lot better when the leaves are off the undergrowth, sometimes you can be looking in the same place for ten minutes then the deer appears ..it was always there but it may take a while to pick it out...at a dozen yds. The big ones like to let you walk past then sneak or bust out Hell bent for leather behind you...gone in a second, I just love this kind of hunting, I guess because it is the only kind I have ever known.The rut gives a guy an edge when things open up a bit and the deer drop their guard a little, this should start up around the end of the month.

Looks real typical to what we shoot trail walks in as well!

Since we started getting rains again, the local flora and fauna has really taken off. We need a freeze or frost soon.

look at the right lower section of the photo the two bent branches up from that a long brown back and to the left is the fawn you can see the spots on it through the brush and it little head too.the fawn is just above the bent branch on the left

I looked until my eyes hurt and, I ain't sure, but it looks like there might be a deer face just to the left of that white spot. I blew it up and looked and it still looks like a deer face.

That is plenty thick in there!

a tough find.Welcome to hunting the woods of
Ohio. Any wonder why most of my M/L shots on deer with PRB are 50yds or less.Usually within 35yds.
