Can modern shot be used to make round ball?

Might be a disadvantage.

Sure you can take lead shot and melt it down to make a round ball, and you can take a lot of other pure lead and lead alloy bits and do the same..., BUT it's not easy for you to cast real lead shot. True, you can make lead bits that will come out of your muzzleloader, but that's not good lead shot. :( Now there is an expensive machine to make it for yourself if you can find one and can afford it (though it makes only one size and you need other parts for other sizes), but instead you might want keep your shot, and even might want to buy and put some Lead Shot aside, for small game or birds, and use other sources of lead for your round ball.

Bull in alloy no problem
Your response is cryptic at best....
The arsenic is in the melted alloy it is also a metal derivative at about 3-4% it is not going to hurt you as if pure and the alloy unless raised to a high temp that takes a very different type of furnace does not put of metal fumes.

Does that help you.

Yes - very much. Thank you!
I've noticed you are a man of few words. This one needed a little clarification...
