In Alberta powder is hard to find and very expensive. In the upper $30 after tax.

Can BP be bought through the web and shipped to a Canadian address?

The local BP Goex dealer in Caroline AB quoted me the above prices.

Any suggestions for cheaper BP in Alberta. I tried all the gun shops and no luck on supply or price. Pyrodex and 777 available everywhere but I'm a flintlock shooter.

Upper $30s+ tax....WOW!!!! :shake: I'd suggest yer local guy wake up and give his head a shake :youcrazy: ....Gotta think he must not sell very much at that price? :idunno:

Wholesale Sports lists Goex on their website for $17.99....about the same as what I pay here?

$30+ can go pound sand.....maybe he thinks he's selling it by the kilo? :rotf:

Wholesale doesn't stock the real stuff in Canada. Say they do but don't when asked for it!

Found a little supplier in rural Saskatchewan called Hillfolk Musket in Senlac. Nice farming folks with a sideline. $20/pound for goex or Grafs depending on stock. They are getting all my business! Honest, hardworking farmers who sideline in muzzleloaders, a pleasure to spend my money with them.

Hillfolk are indeed good people to deal with. If you're ever heading into Cowtown, you might also check with Pro Line Shooters II. Little shop, good people, ideosyncratic/eclectic stock, what they have on hand and their prices can vary with time.

Regards,
Joel

I heard that Lock 'n load in Edmonton carries it, but I have not checked it out yet.

Go to the Goex website, and look up the Canadian distributors. Call them! They will figure out for you how you can buy their powders. :surrender: :hmm:
