Getting into it again. I wanted to make a canvas type bag for a while, its a bigger bag that i usually make. It should take the bad weather. It’s 8x 12 inches double pouche. The canvas is from a vintage old military bag saved from the garbage, the flap a piece of goat skin again saved from the garbage and i put a coton pillow ticking under the flap. It was an interesting build , but to do another i would use thinner canvas. Everything is from salvage materiel like they would do in the old days and then i treated it with bees wax.

I've made one (1) canvas bag in my career. I used heavy canvas and reinforced wear points with deer hide. It's still going strong after all these years

Watopeka, You did a really fine job on yours; mine, not so much.

Thank hanshi, it’s always a learning process

Great job on that bag! I like the looks of that old canvas! I made a pillow ticking bag to tote squirrels in. I waxed it with bees wax and it is going strong for a couple seasons now. Your bag is "passin down" worthy!!
