There's a gas-n-go food chain joint called Sheetz around SE PA that is kind of a competition to Wawa and such. I guess Scheels is an outdoor supply place?
Yes Scheels usually have pretty good prices on their stuff I have bought bullets for reloading regular ammo from them many times online and never had any problems with them

Yes and they carry some BP guns and caps usually.
I paid 99.99 for 1000 cci#11 magnums if I remember correctly.

With a little reading and a couple tweaks the DIY primeall caps work.
Dies come in #10 and #11 and pay for themselves.

Bass Pro carries them off and on. Go online and file a restocking notice and they will notify once they are back in stock. They sell the Remington caps for $13 a tin and if you have a Bass Pro nearby, you can have the order sent to the store to avoid the hazmat fee.

Agree. I just got 6 tins of Rem 11 2 weeks ago. Fortunately I am retired so i have about 20 - 30 places i check online every morning. Went from almost 0 in june to a well stocked supply now. You just have to be very proactive. And network thru clubs.

Serious question here; what is a re-enactor cap? Whats the difference?

A re-enactor cap is a low powered cap used in re-enactment stuff. Some one taking part in a re-enactment was injured by a piece of a musket cap. Yep, the injured person sued.

The weak underpowered four wing CCI musket cap is the result of that lawsuit.

I just Googled #11 muzzleloader caps and at least 5-6 places popped up in stock and ready to ship and there was more I just stopped looking some people make it harder than it has to be and I'm not trying to be a smart *** either just the way it is 🤣

Be careful with sites that pop up as having caps in stock. I found several new to me sites and after looking into them saw that they only accepted Venmo, pay pay friends and family or Zelle for payment, that’s a very good sign they are scammers.

I appreciate it but I think at least a couple of them were legit sites but I could be wrong and you are right and if they have a minimum amount to spend they're usually fake too

Thx Hogman. You would think if you want to go play with guns you would expect some risk; welcome to the modern home of the brave. I still have a scar below lefteye from a bb because I didn’t pull up the garbage can lid fast enough, but i guess those were different times.

All the sites I've encountered advertizing " in stock " were scams . If you do find them and add to cart they list a minimum 150 dollars or more . Then the hazmat fees . When i posted this i didnt say they werent out there but alot has changed since i shot bp 25 years ago .to those who find them at walmart and bass pro my hats off to you .

ya i got scammed recently. best to research before ordering. I didnt, got burned.

I don’t know if you live near a Bass Pro Shop but I was in Bass Pro in Hooksett NH last night and they had a bunch of cci #11 (2 hangers full) and even 5 or so tins of Remington #11 . It caught my eye because they really have a pathetic little section for muzzleloader supplies at That store

The BP selection at the Orlando location is purty weak too. They do have a decent recently acquired selection of smokeless gun powder.

I purchased RWS 1075 #11 caps from muzzle-loaders.com in Oregon and recently got delivery in a week at $38.00 for a 250 quantity tin. RWS is an excellent cap that fits either Pietta, Uberti and SliXshot nipples. Also great for my single shot pistols and rifles. They also have Hodgdon Triple 7 FFG or FFFG powder and Pyrodex P in stock. Hazmat is $34.00 to ship. I've purchased other muzzleloading stuff from this online company before and they are legitimate. the correct CCI musket caps. When the order came the pricks sent me those stupid reenactor caps

CCI started making a low power musket cap as a result of a lawsuit several years ago. They are intended for setting off blank charges or just getting the bang from the cap itself and not much good for actual loads. The tins are marked, I'll post a pic later today.

Yes sir different times and I have a scar on my side where my cousin shot me with BB gun and had to dig it out with a pocket knife because it was one of the pump up BB guns the more you pump the harder it shoots and he had it pumped to the max and it buried it in my hide because we were shooting our slingshots at each other with green cherries for ammo and I popped him in the head with one and he got mad and went in the house and got his BB gun and I was hiding behind a tree laughing at him and thought I was safe and he saw my side and shot me because he was mad because he had a red knot on his face where the green cherry hit him and we knew if we told our parents we both would both get our butts tore up from our parents and they thought we were just fighting again like usual

My cousin had one of those pump up rifles. When it got to stiff to pump, we laid it on ground and stood on it to get more pumps. Those were good times.
