PLINKER: I have used Johnson's Paste Wax for over 40 years and it does everything I need a wax to do. Plus, it's available nearly everywhere. I cover all areas I want to wax and immediately rub it with the palm/heel of my hand til it starts to drag. I then let it stand til it is "dry" and polish the gun with a soft cloth. This makes it appear the finish is in the wood rather than on it. :wink: :v
 
Thanks for all the responses gents. Never imagined I'd get so many different answers, but should have figured :wink:

I have Johnsons and have been using it. Wanted to try a Carnuba just to compare and see if I liked it any better. Seemed like I was always reading people are using Carnuba, but after all the opposing responses I guess not.

That gives me a lot of info and some exact products to consider. Thank you all! :thumbsup:
