Does anyone here use spent brass cartridges for a powder measure? My measure is not a whole lot of help as it is not numerically marked, and rookie that I am, I'm not sure how much it holds.
Looking for info on what case holds how much, etc.

Thanks, Claude. I wasn't sure where to put that, so I took a shot in the dark (so to speak). :hatsoff:

How about buying a powder scale, so you can check the amount of powder any given measure throws, yourself? The cost of scales is not very much. I am still using my RCBS scale, and I think you can still this ' balance beam " type scale for under $40.00. Of Course, there are digital electronic scales out their for well over $100.00, but other than loading lots of charges, they don't do any better at checking powder or ball/bullet weights than my balance beam scale does.

I'm gunna put my RCBS 505 on the classifieds again this weekend, trade it for something.
I dont need two of them.

FWIW, I use belted magnum cases for measures on my .50. they an be trimmed to length and dont fall down the barrel.
