My new Uberti showed up today. I'd like to get a storage case for it. Not one of those fancy presentation cases just a soft, padded zippered pouch. Anyone know where to get one that can hold a pistol this monstrous? I had a hard time even finding one that could fit my 1860 Army.

I was thinking this might work but I'm not sure I want to buy online since it might be too small.

Also does anyone know what cartridge pistols are roughly the same size? All I can think of is maybe the Desert Eagle, BFR and Smith and Wesson 500. Most manufacturers of these sort of things make a long list of models that can fit, but the 1847 Walker is usually one they forget to include.

I think I will go with the house brand from Midway. Still not sure what size to order. This is on their site.

Common Fit:

  • 8 Inches: Most Small Frame Pistols & Revolvers with 2” Barrels & Smaller.
  • 11.5 Inches: Most Medium Frame Pistols with 5” Barrels & Revolvers with 4” Barrels & Smaller.
  • 15.5 Inches: Most Large Frame Pistols & Revolvers with 6”-7.5" Barrels & Smaller.
  • 19.5 Inches: Most Scoped XL Frame Revolvers with 8.38"-10.5" Barrels & Smaller.
  • 22.5 Inches: Fits Most Scoped T/C Contenders with 14" Barrels & Smaller
I'm not sure if I need the 22.5 or if the 19.5 will do.

Walkers are a little under 16 inches in overall length. It should fit that 19.5 inch model straight across.

I will attest to anyone who is interested that the large pistol rug offered by Taylors' is just large enough to fit a Dragoon. And mean it just about fits it comfortably-- something as long as a Walker may be stretching it.
