Track..................but ever so often Dixie
will have what I need and they also will bend over
backwards to help..I carried on quite a lengthly
search for Colt nipples and they met the challange
with what i needed...I think Dixie has a larger
wearhouse...It would be hard to have to give up
one of them to keep the other....hope we never have to....

Thanks,

Just wondering as I have an old Dixie cat. and am thinking of getting another updated. I liked the Dixie as it has alot of "extra" info in it. Does TOW also have that?

Frank

I have the Track catalog, but heard alot about Dixie. I need to get that one to...

The Dixie catalog is worth getting just for the information inside. As it says on the front cover, "$5 or send $6 if you like this book."
Actually you can just go to their web site and order it.

for the price of admission, the dixie cat has so much free info in it pertaining to stuff you cant find else where, its worth owning. price wise, I shop totw, dixie and a few others, do online orders and compare totals and who has what.

IMHO, The catalog is the best part of Dixie.
The last shipment I got from them the quality was so poor I sent it all back.
But the catalog is Definately worth the $ just to read... it is cool !

while the Dixie catalog has a wealth of good- to- know information, the Track catalog has full sized photos of their locks, triggers, etc., which is a great help in figuring how your project will fit together.

the folks at Track have always been super- helpful in providing advice / instruction on the use of their gear.

don't be a cheapskate (that's MY job!)

get both, and if the price of the Track catalog produces some sticker shock, consider it a combination reference book and contribution to a worthy enterprise.

good luck!
