I might add that Caywoods prices are minus the lock.

So add about another $120 to the listed price.

And on Brooks Page, the $750 or $1000 plus the cost of the kit is for assembly and final finish.

I didn't see an in the white or kit price on Brooks web page, so can't compare those prices.
 
sorry ambush, j.d got it wrong the kits are extra.
if you get the carolina gun it's $540 42" barrel .
not too much more for a unique hand finished gun??
getting closer to apples yet?? even less if you wish to finish it yourself.
not out to knock the semi custom guy or even prodution guns...just another option that's all.

Interesting interpretation of prices hawk 2, you might want to look at Mike's excellent new site? The prices I was quoting are for the two finished fowlers he has in his "For Sale" section.
