Your post was so good & 100% on point that I had to come back & read it for a second time. And both times left me sitting here shakin my head with “ he!! Yeah “ both times. Well said sir. Some of us drive Fords because we can't afford Caddy's, shoot Traditions because we can't afford the hand built guns, and use the other powders because the black isn't available. Funny thing is we end up where we want to go, and have fun shooting at stuff. That's all that matters. Some folks just make a big deal out of nothing.
About getting the holy Black, be intellectually honest. If all you need/want is 1 or 2lb a year you'll always pay premium prices and be at the mercy of the supply chain.
I have received both caps and powder in the same package in the past with a single hazmat fee. Was something done wrong or have the rules changed? What really sucks though is if you order primers too, they gotta ship separate so 2x hazmat etc.
I was wondering about that myself bc I’ve had powder & primers delivered in the same order too.I have received both caps and powder in the same package in the past with a single hazmat fee. Was something done wrong or have the rules changed?
I guess I can understand the logic, though I do not like the fees. Shipping a potential explosive with its own primers? That could lead to an interesting accident(IMHO)I was wondering about that myself bc I’ve had powder & primers delivered in the same order too.
I checked the local East Texas Walmart this afternoon pretty well and didn't see anything muzzleloader related at all, seems that that kind of stuff just isn't popular enough for them to stock it.Wally didn't have any caps in The Woodlands, Texas today, but it's not in a neighborhood that would buy them.
That's disheartening! If any Walmart would have them, I would figure it would be in the Piney Woods!I checked the local East Texas Walmart...
